Carriage Me Home

The exterior of this 1897 carriage house is a stunner. From the brickwork on the driveway to the Tudor details to the wrap-around porch, the building is enchanting. The 3.4 acre property is equally appealing, with lovely stone work, mature plantings, and a nice pool. The interior of the 3,300 square foot home has been completely renovated and has 4 bedrooms. The results look somewhat mixed—the kitchen is totally fabulous, but some other rooms look a little too sheetrocky for my taste, and some of the materials choices seem odd. But this is a unique building and there is clearly tons of charm and loads of potential here. The house is located in Ossining (with a Briarcliff Manor address and Ossining schools) and has a relatively reasonable tax bill of $20,602. $899,222

Very interesting house. I love the exterior. But I agree that the inside is a little weird. Why put granite tiles on the floors of a carriage house?
