It can be hard to peg exactly why one house appeals to you when similar ones don't. In this case the late 60's mix of wood and glass and vaulted ceilings is working for me. Set on 2 acres outside of Katonah, this contemporary is pretty large with 4,100 square feet and 4 bedrooms. There's also a two bedroom apartment on the lower level, and the entire house has central air. The standout feature is the large living/dinning room—but the master bedroom looks quite nice, too. At $17,842, the taxes seems reasonable for the size—as does the asking price. $799,000
