A Bedford Sophisticate

New Year's Day was too cold for our traditional walk in the woods, so we took a long drive instead (not as Earth-friendly, but very satisfying nonetheless). At one point we tootled along the bucolic back roads of Bedford, all aglitter in the fresh snow, and drove past this lovely home. The 1908 farmhouse boasts 4,600 square feet and 5 bedrooms and has been tastefully updated and decorated. Kudos on the kitchen, which is high-end but not horrendously overdone. The four acre property also includes a 2 bedroom cottage, barn, and garage. Located in Bedford Corners, the house is in between Mt. Kisco and Bedford Village. While the asking price ain't cheap, the $25,656 tax bill is less than I expected. $3,200,000

I really like the wallpaper. The livingroom paper is the inverse of the dining room! Great idea. I also love the bedroom--a fireplace and books in the bedroom is very relaxing. If only I had the money.
