Dollar Days: Big Price Cuts

I took a look back at the Hot Properties I've featured over the last year that are still for sale and found that, while many have received mild price cuts, a few have had their asking prices seriously axed. I love the Yorktown house, but the taxes are $24,000. And the Croton taxes are even higher. The prices seem good, but those taxes!

I don't think the taxes are bad for that much square footage and land. Moving from the city, 24K is school tuition for one kid a year, so that much for school and garbage, fire, police, roads, and everything else seems reasonable. And price of the Yorktown house will get you a small 1 bedroom in the city.
