Totally Cool Contempo

This funky 1963 contemporary has been interestingly updated. Bamboo floors, a chic corner fireplace, and a great kitchen spice up the open floor plan. (While the kitchen is probably what the purveyors of one-style-fits-all design on the HGTV real estate shows like to call "too taste-specific," I am thrilled to see a kitchen with a little individuality and spunk.) The 2,300 square foot house has 4 bedrooms and the 1 acre lot features a slate patio and multi-level decks. Located in the lovely Furnace Woods section of Cortlandt Manor, the house is a stones throw from the town pool. $645,000

I really LOVE that kitchen!! So fresh and cool.

I had the opposite reaction. I agree that I am tired of cookie cutter kitchens with granite countertops, but this one it a bit over the top for my taste.

I fall in the middle--I really like the cabinets and the backsplash, but the island is just too much and too different. I'd replace that.
