Music at Lasdon

The main lawn at lovely Lasdon Park is, once again, the site of two concert series this summer:

Summer Serenades offers Saturday evening concerts performed by the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra. Performances will be held on July 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th and will include music by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Bizet, Rossini, Puccini, Verdi, and Beethoven. Concerts are at 6:00. Come early to pick out a good picnic spot. Food and beverages are sold on-site. This is one of my favorite summer traditions.

Lunch at Lasdon provides live jazz performances Fridays from July 5th through August 1st. On July 4 and August 1, visitors can enjoy the music of ABCs of Jazz, a Peekskill-based group. On July 11 and 25, the Kevin Callaghan Group will take the stage. July 18 introduces the Gerard Carelli Orchestra, a group of jazz musicians from Bedford. Performances are held from 12:00 to 2:00.
