Walking Along the Waterfront

The latest section of the Westchester RiverWalk was officially opened last week. The additional half-mile of walkway runs through the northern section of Croton Landing Park and boasts amazing vistas, lots of grass for lounging and playing on, and a very interesting bridge over wetlands. The RiverWalk will eventually stretch 51.5-miles and hug the river from Yonkers to Peekskill. So far, slightly more than 31 miles have been completed. Added to the existing three miles in Croton, running from Senasqua Park down to Croton Point Park, this is the longest continuous stretch of walkway, according to the New York Times.
