Gracious Victorian

Built in 1895, this is one of the remaining grand dames of 'downtown' Yorktown Heights. The just-listed 2,800 square foot house has 4 bedrooms and is overflowing with original details and Victorian charm. The house has been nicely updated, and boasts a new kitchen (somehow cherry cabinets and granite counters seem less bothersome to me in a Victorian). There's a nice screened porch and a deck and the third of an acre lot has a barn. The house is just steps from shopping, parks, and the North County Trailway. On the con side, that is vinyl siding you see on the exterior. $850,000
