Festival of Lights

Sunday's New York Times featured the latest holiday extravaganza to hit the area, the Winter WonderLights at Sunnyside. Developed by the same team that created the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt Manor, the newest spectacle uses 68,965 points of light along a half-mile path, reports the Times. Winter WonderLights takes about 45 minutes to enjoy and is loosely based on the classic tale of Rip Van Winkle. I've got my tickets already. The event is held on selected days through January 3.
