Small Space, Big Style

With just 1,295 square feet, this Peekskill house ain't huge. While the exterior is somewhat marred, in my opinion, by an enclosed porch and vinyl siding, the interior has plenty of style packed into it's small frame. Built in 1900, the 3 bedroom, 2 bath house has been updated and sports a gorgeous kitchen, but still retains it's original details. The 0.07 of an acre lot has a nice yard and is well-located--close to the train, Depew Park, the riverfront green, and the Artists' District. $345,000

Also not a huge fan of the enclosed porch or vinyl siding, but I like the looks of this one. The rooms look to be decently sized despite the smaller square footage and appear to have nice high ceilings. Any idea what that tall metallic looking thing is on the edge of the kitchen counter in that one photo?

I love that kitchen. But I have no idea what that big metal thing is either--a bread box?? I agree with "a" that the rooms are a nice size. Good furniture too. This seems great for the price. But how is this part of Peekskill? I see that it is close to everything, but is it safe?

The house is very beautiful, well designed and constructed. Bedrooms are good enough and the kitchen is great.
