Guilt-Free Goodies

Sunday's New York Times had a nice review of Connie's Bakery and General Store in Mt. Kisco. The store's tasty confections may go straight to your hips, but you can be satisfied in the knowledge that all of the proceeds go straight to local charities, according to the Times. The reviewer calls the goodies, including flourless chocolate cake, linzer cookies, and butter-cream cupcakes, "scrumptious." The bakery hires assistants through the JobSTAR program and donates proceeds to such causes as local food banks and affordable housing organizations. Connie's Bakery and General Store
