Protecting Our Trees

After overcoming a good deal of OOMBY (out-of-my-backyard) opposition, Yorktown just passed a new tree ordinance. The new regs will require people to seek a permit if they are cutting down protected trees, trees of significance, or more than 30% of the trees on their property. Way to go, Yorktown!
