The documentary La Americana follows the ordeals of Carmen, a Bolivian mother who comes to the U.S. to provide for her disabled daughter. The film will be followed by a discussion with the director, Nicholas Bruckman, and Carola Bracco of Neighbors Link in Mt. Kisco. Tuesday, 7:30 pm. Jacob Burns Film Center

HMMMM. Looks like this organization supports illegals.
Immigration is the lifeblood of America. "Documented" or not.
Legal and illegal immigration are not the same. The effect of mass immigration on our country and citizens is profound, impacting education, public transportation, wages, welfare, tax's ect...the costs are many and great.
Federation for American Immigration Reform(FAIR) has an excellent website on this topic.
Illegal immigrants are only illegal because the government is too restrictive in it's quotas for poor countries. If the U.S,. had had similar quotas in the late 1800's and early 1900's my grandparents would not have been allowed in--and they would have come here illegally. As for the costs,the immigrants add far more to our society than they detract. FAIR is a group of un-American racists.
